            Son Of Starspangledbanner Storms To Maiden Success

Manaslu (3g Starspangledbanner - Dark Seductress, by Dark Angel) made all to run out a taking winner of Monday’s seven furlong maiden at Carlisle.



Placed on his seasonal return, the Kevin Ryan-trained bay was sent off second favourite on his third start. Drawing clear from three furlongs out, he was pushed along a furlong later and was ridden out to score by two and a quarter lengths. The first two home finished seven lengths clear of the field.



Owned by K & J Bloodstock, Manaslu was bred by Old Carhue Stud and Martin McHale. The son of Starspangledbanner is the first foal out of Dark Seductress, herself a half-sister to black-type performer Private Alexander (Footstepsinthesand).
